Licensing

Licensing

Soledad licensing follows the standard single-end-product model commonly used on ThemeForest. This summary explains how Regular and Extended usage are typically interpreted for Soledad, bundled assets, and client work.

Regular License

A Regular License is intended for one end product where the end users can access the final website or project without paying specifically for the product itself.

  • One license covers one completed end product.
  • The licensed item can be installed, configured, and modified for that single project.
  • A commercial business may still use a Regular License if access to the end product itself is free to end users.
  • For blogging and content websites, the common ThemeForest interpretation is still one license per site or end product.

Extended License

An Extended License is generally required when the licensed item is part of an end product that is sold to end users or where paid access is tied directly to the end product in a way that exceeds Regular License use.

  • Use Extended when the product you are selling includes the licensed item as part of what the customer is paying for.
  • Extended does not convert the item into unlimited multi-project usage; it still applies to one end product unless stated otherwise.
  • If you are unsure whether your business model is paid access or paid distribution of the end product, review the original Envato license terms for the purchase source.

Client, Agency, and Freelancer Use

Freelancers and agencies may build one client project per license, including charging for their services, but the same license cannot be reused across multiple client sites or multiple separate end products.

  • Each separate client website or deployable product needs its own valid license.
  • Staging, development, and local environments are treated as part of the same project when they support the same final end product.
  • Moving the theme from one completed client project to another is not treated as a transfer of the same license.

Bundled Components and Restrictions

Soledad includes design assets, templates, integrations, and ecosystem components that are licensed for use with the purchased Soledad end product, not as a standalone redistribution package.

  • You may customize, remove, or replace components inside your licensed project.
  • You may not extract bundled plugins, templates, or included assets and redistribute them on a standalone basis or use them as a separate product on another theme or website without the required license.
  • You may not resell, sublicense, share, or redistribute Soledad source files, demo packages, or bundled ecosystem materials except as allowed by the governing purchase license.

If your Soledad copy was purchased through ThemeForest, the controlling license remains the Envato/ThemeForest purchase license and FAQ. This page is a product-specific summary, not a replacement for that upstream license text.
